The Meridian Police Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.



• Contempt of court — Samuel A. Denman, 21, 105 Galilee Church Road

• Simple assault — Michael S. Mitchell, 23, 6775 Highway 19 North

• Trespassing — Toshiba Johnson, 26, 1414 15th St.

• Contempt of court — Joel Scott Griffith, 26, 3910 40th St.

• Simple assault — Dorothy Carver, 46, 6956 Lizelia Road

• Driving under the influence, second offense — Ramsey Melvin, 40, 1626 Lizzie Road. Melvin was also charged with domestic violence.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3 p.m. Monday and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. These alleged violations also include arrests made by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force and the Mississippi Department of Corrections.



• Probation violation — Robert Teall, 22, 3720 Louise Drive

• Possession of cocaine — Chino Spencer, 20, 510 North Frontage Road

• Probation violation — Jerry Earl, 31, 2701 11th St.
