Heather Joy Tomlinson and Jean Thomas Skaggs III “Trey” were married on Saturday, June 3, 2006, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Starkville with the Rev. Bradford Stewart officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Tommy M. Tomlinson of Starkville and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Jones of Gulfport.

Grandparents of the bride are Adair Beeman of Collinsville and the late Mr. Beeman and Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Tomlinson of Starkville.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph G. Newman of Ocala, Fla. and the late Bennie Joe Newman and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Jones of Baton Rouge, La. and Mac-ceen Mills of Meadville.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Nora Sills, organist and pianist; Mary Leigh Harp, vocalist; Matt Murray, guitarist and vocalist and Adam Skaggs, guitarist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory French taffeta gown that featured a strapless bodice encircled at the neckline with pewter crystal beading. The full skirt fell into a chapel-length train and featured beading. She wore a veil of illusion that was anchored by a daisy tiara of pearls. She carried her paternal grandmother’s handkerchief.

Laura Ladell Tomlinson of Starkville, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Kristen Tomlinson Fyke, of Clinton, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.

Other attendants were Ashley Ivy Benjamin of Gulfport, Katherine Amanda Bousson of Memphis, Tenn., Patricia Hopper Butts of Starkville and Adelia Ann Luke of Meridian, cousin of the bride; and Jordan Kassandra Reinschmiedt, of Memphis, Katherine Leigh Roberts of Dallas and Susanna Reid Stewart of Oxford.

Amberlee Olivia Akin, cousin of the bride, of Collinsville, was flower girl.

Braden Kyle Luke, of Collinsville, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Ronald E. Jones of Gulfport and Adam Skaggs of Hattiesburg, were best men. Groomsmen and ushers were Jeremy Dewayne Knight, Andreal Britt, Michael Britton Rowell, all of Hattiesburg, Russell Christopher Casteel of Atlanta, Adam Lewis Buckalew, Geoffrey Bedford Strickland, all of Gulfport, David Henry Steinwinder,of Laurel, Christopher Charles Rankin Arinder, of Columbia, Ryan Matthew Mahoney, of Mandeville, La., Chad Christopher King of Petal, Jake Edward Tomlinson, and Robert Walter Franklin, both of Starkville, Robert Henry Fyke III, of Clinton and Benjamin Bryan Turan of Saucier.

Kelsey Leigh Clayborne and Kayla Elise Clayborne attended the guest registry table. Program attendants were Katelyn Jane Earley, Nan White Knight, Laura Suzanne Mimms and Mary Morgan Montgomery.

A reception was held at Memorial Hall on the campus of Mississippi State University.

Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Hattiesburg.
