Anne Massey

Self-employed



Services for Anne Massey will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Mediator Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the church columbarium. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Massey, of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, in her home. She was a self-employed insurance agent.

Survivors include her son, Robby Massey and his wife, Cindy, of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Donna Massey Kantak and her husband, Gregg, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Joshua Massey and his wife, Dawn, of Orlando, Michael Massey and Eve Massey, both of Katy and Elizabeth Kantak of Atlanta and a great-grandchild, Robert Massey of Katy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Massey.

Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi, 323 Highway 51, Second Floor, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.



William Flynt McCraw



Services for William Flynt McCraw will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. McCraw, 89, of Meridian, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Queen City Nursing Center.

Survivors include his son, Johnny McCraw and his wife, Judy, of Laurel; and his grandchildren, Nicki McCraw of Seattle, Wash., Scott McCraw of New Orleans, and Russell Adams of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. at the funeral home.



Dorothy W. Cooley

Retired Registered Nurse



Services for Dorothy W. Cooley will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Kottenbrook and Dr. David Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Cooley, 80, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of the College Park United Methodist Church, the Grover Burnett Lodge of the Eastern Star and the Moose Lodge. She worked in the Patent Department in Washington, D.C., and was a nurse for 52 years. She was a volunteer, giving her time to RSVP, Meals of Wheels, Big Brothers and Sisters, Stay Home Hospice, the Mississippi Welcome Center, and the Retirement Recruitment Committee for the city of Meridian.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Cooley of Meridian; her nieces, Deborah Briggs and her husband, Gerald, of Whynot, and Donna White of Meridian, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Cooley, her parents, Walter and Clara Whittington, and her brother, Ralph Whittington.

Pallbearers will be Will Hall, Joe Speed, Bud White, Frank McNeil, Charles Helms and Tyler Helms.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Sara Alice Barksdale West



McCOMB — Services for Sara Alice Barksdale West will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Summit. Hartman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. West, 96, of Lawrence, and formerly of Summit, died Friday, July 7, 2006.

She was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Copiah County to Naomi Ellen Moak and Joseph Decatur Barksdale. She became a registered nurse. She married Clyde C. West of Copiah County. In the early 1950s, they moved their family of five children to Yazoo City. She worked for many years at Kings Daughters Hospital and then several years for the Yazoo County Health Department. She and her husband returned to Amite County in 1969.

She was an avid flower grower and gardener. She also liked sewing, needle point, knitting and crocheting.

Mrs. West loved her family.

Survivors include her sons, Malcolm “Mac” West and his wife, Gretchen, of Sunset Beach, N.C., Charles West and his wife, Charlene, of Breckenridge, Texas, James “Jim” West and his wife, Jeanne, of Plano, Texas; her daughters, Sarah Manor of Madison and Juanita West of Newton; nine grandchildren, Gwen and Jerry Manor, Keith, Kevin, Craig, Will, Amanda and Megan West, and Tori Rush (Dave); and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Correll West, her brother, Spurgeon Barksdale, and a sister, Selma Barksdale.

Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Visitation services for Judith M. Glaze will be held Monday from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Gas City, Ind., with Needham-Storey Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Glaze, 72, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was born June 28, 1934, in Jonesboro, Ind. She was a member of Apostolic Friends Church in Jonesboro, and was an active member of Promise of Hope, Cancer Support Group in Meridian.

Survivors include her husband, James Glaze of Meridian; three sons, James Glaze Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Evansville, Iowa, Tony Glaze and his wife, Tammy, of Ridgeland, and Wally Glaze and his wife, Melissa, of Tipton, Ind.; her daughter, Vickie Glaze Arnstein of Meridian; grandchildren, David Swaffard and Kiely Arnstein, both of Anderson, Ind.; Justin Magunson of Clarksville, Tenn., Jamie Famine and Dylan Glaze, both of Evansdale, Iowa, Ashley Murley of LaPorte City, Iowa, Annika Akers of Ponca City, Okla., Erica Cook of Stillwater, Okla., Matthew Nicholson of Meridian, and Courtney, Callie and Carly Glaze, all of Tipton, Ind.; three step grandchildren, Amber Williams, Nikki Rainey and Ken Rainey, all of Meridian; her sisters, Vicky Jones of Gas City and Patty Hisey of Marion, Ind.; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Florine Jones, and her sisters, Dean Layman, Leota Henning, Sue Heiney, and a brother, Dan R. Jones Jr.

Services for Sybil C. McDuffie will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. McDuffie, 97, died Thursday, July 5, 2006, at Aldersgate Retirement Center.

Survivors include her sons, Ernest Paul McDuffie and his wife, Adelina, of Chesapeake, Va., and Mark Wayne McDuffie and his wife, Christi, of Wyoming; a grandson, Kyle McDuffie of Denver, Colo.; a niece, Faye Johnson of Meridian, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, W. Paul McDuffie.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. at the funeral home.
