PHILADELPHIA — The Miss Rodeo Mississippi Association announces the winners of the 33rd Annual Miss Rodeo Mississippi Pageant, and the 2nd annual Miss Rodeo Mississippi Teen, Miss Rodeo Mississippi Princess, and Miss Rodeo Mississippi Sweetheart pageant.

The pageant was held July 20-22 at the Neshoba County Coliseum in Philadelphia, with the winners being featured at the Neshoba County Fair PRCA Rodeo.

Cori Keyes of Edwards was selected to promote the sport of rodeo and the state of Mississippi in 2007. She will represent Mississippi at all Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association events statewide and abroad, and compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America in Las Vegas, Nev., in December 2007.

First alternate and horsemanship honors were presented to Suzie Sorey of Lake. Second alternate and most photogenic were won by Courtney Dossett of Collins. Third alternate was Beth Cavin of Natchez. Fourth alternate and Miss Congeniality was awarded to Marie Salassi of Jackson.

Hanna Taylor of Richland was selected Miss Rodeo Mississippi Teen from a field of contestants ages 13 to 18. Hanna won all three divisions of the Teen pageant (horsemanship, personality and appearance), and was awarded the silent auction and first to enter award. She will be featured at events such as the Dixie National Livestock Show, Rodeo and Pageant in Jackson, as well as rodeos in Lauderdale, Starkville, Tupelo, Corinth, Philadelphia and Hattiesburg.

First alternate and Miss Congeniality was awarded to Carey Rouse of Natchez. Second alternate and most photogenic was Tori Hedglin of Byrum.

Mississippi also crowned its second Miss Rodeo Mississippi Princess — that honor was received by Karley Keyes of Vicksburg. Karley Keyes, who won the appearance and personality divisions, and most photogenic, will accompany Cori Keyes and Hanna Taylor in 2007 as they promote rodeo, Mississippi and western heritage.

First alternate and horsemanship winner in the Princess division, ages 7 to 12, was Vanessa Ratliff of Edwards. Second alternate was Caroline Grissom of Petal. Third alternate and Miss Congeniality was awarded to Emily Fuller of Vicksburg. Fourth alternate and first to enter award recipient was Madison Moore of Philadelphia.

Four young Mississippi cowgirls were named Miss Rodeo Mississippi Sweethearts 2007: Abby Compton of Conehatta; Savannah Gray Davis of Meridian; Abby Claire Fuller of Vicksburg; and Anna Lea Steward of Macon.
