PHILADELPHIA — Services for Odie Moore Jim will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Bogue Chitto Facility Building with the Rev. Dobie Henry officiating. Burial will be Isleep Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jim, 77, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Jim; daughters, Mary Samuel, Janet Chickaway and Jane Tubby; sons, Roy Jim, Riley Jim and Randy Jim; one step-son; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Harold Wayne Carr Sr. will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Henry L. Armington officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carr, 54, of Meridian, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Queen City Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Carr; sons, Harold Dewayne, Harold Jr., and JaMarcus Thedford; daughters, Narkeeta, Vanita Brown, and Roshonda, and Latoya; his mother and 14 siblings.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shelbeigh Abrianna Palmer
Memorial services for Shelbeigh Abrianna Palmer will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness with Billy Gradney officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Palmer, 4 months, of Meridian, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.
Survivors include her parents, Derek and Tonya Palmer; her sister, Loreyona Palmer; paternal grandparents, Jesse E. Palmer Sr. and Lula Palmer; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Billie Jean Grace; uncles, Fredrick Palmer and his wife, Regina, Jesse E. Palmer Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, Keith Palmer and his wife, Angela, Nathan Palmer and his wife, Stephanie, Johnny Michael Grace and his wife, Glenda, Clifton Grace and his wife, Audrey, David Grace and his wife, Doris, Dewayne Grace and his wife, Jennifer; aunts, Gwendolyn Shields and her husband, Darrnell, Sharon Lewis and her husband, Billy Joe, Mary France Grace Parham and her husband, John, Jeannie Faye Grace, and Kim Grace and several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Lorene V. Palmer

LAUREL — Services for Dorothy Theresa “Dotsy” Skiffington Axton will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Memory Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Axton, 83, of Laurel, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Forrest County General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was a homemaker and an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She served on the Altar Society, in the Legion of Mary and St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was known to many in the community as a friend to those in need. She and her husband, Bill, were founding members of Immaculate Conception School and the Association for Retarded Citizens of Jones County. She will be remembered above all as her main devotion was to her family.
Survivors include her children, Bill Axton of Laurel, Jerry Axton of Moss Point, Rosie Pitts and her husband, Hooky, Tim Axton and his wife, Susan, Eileen Axton, Kathy Welborn, Maureen Ousley and her husband, Owen, Dorothy Mauldin and her husband, Joe, Michael Axton and his wife, Carole, Marcia Axton of Laurel and a special friend, Tommy R. Walters of Laurel; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick Axton; her son, Arthur Francis Axton; her grandson Joshua Lyon Ousley.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robbie Pitts, Billy Pitts, Jason Welborn, Stan Welborn, Casey Welborn, Chandler Axton, Quinn Axton, Adam Axton and Andrew Ousley. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Brooke Park, Sicily Axton, Ashley Stephenson, Erica Rayner, Angela Halbert, Emily Mauldin, Julie Mauldin, Meredith Mauldin, Grace Mauldin and Anna Axton.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home and rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
