Anne L. Harper



TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Services for Anne L. Harper will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Mary Bendall and Father Jerry Deasy officiating. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.

Ms. Harper, 79, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at Heartfelt Hospice.

Harper was born April 23, 1927 in Ensley, Ala. and was married to her husband for 60 years. She was a student at the University of Alabama, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, member of St. Johns and Holy Spirit Catholic Church, member of St. Ann’s Guild, worked as a secretary in the E.R. and as a financial counselor at DCH in Tuscaloosa. Anne was a beautiful southern lady with a loving heart and a gentle spirit. Anne was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She really enjoyed all types of good music especially Elvis, The Beatles and Frank Sinatra. She liked to dance, and tell us stories about her tap dancing when she was young. Anne was always optimistic, encouraging and would lift you up when you were down. She helped to instill confidence in all of her children. She was a good listener and lent a helping hand when needed. She won the hearts of most of the people she came in contact with. Anne was loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Everett L. Harper III and his wife, Sandra, of Tuscaloosa, Amelia Weaver and her husband, David, of LaGrange, GA, Patricia Marascalco and her husband, Don, of Meridian, Mary Harper and her husband, Randy, of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Patricia Ogrean of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Brooke Haynes, Scott Weaver, Everett L. Harper IV, Meredith Perkins, Beth Marascalco Jones, Frank Marascalco and Anne Claire Marascalco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick D. Logan and Mary Elizabeth Logan; husband, Everett L. Harper Jr.; brother, John Logan; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Hankins.

The family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi or the Holy Spirit Catholic Church building fund.

Pall bearers will be Everett L. Harper III, Everett L. Harper IV, Scott Weaver, Frank Marascalco, Warren Haynes and Bobby Perkins.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.



Charles K. Kopf



Services for Charles “Chuck” K. Kopf will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Andy May officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kopf, age 56, of Meridian passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was employed with Nelson Hall Chevrolet for many dedicated years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Meridian.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Glenda, and his adoring daughters, Jennifer and Jessica of Jackson and Meridian respectively. Survivors also include his brother, Don Ketchum and wife, Christy, of Michigan, his sister-in-law, Cassandra Fountain and husband, Jeff, of Meridian, Brothers-in-law Bubba Young and wife, Margaret, of Forest and Jerry Young and his wife, Camelia, of Indiana, Sammy Young and wife, Gail, of Jackson, father-in-law, Kenneth Smith of Meridian; and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Cooley; brother, Gary Ketchum; mother-in-law, Jean Smith and brother-in-law, Terry Smith.

Memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation: Monday, February 12, 2007, 5-8 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home, Meridian.

Pallbearers: Bubba Young, Jerry Young, Sammy Young, Jeff Fountain, Brad Fountain, CoJay Fountain, Bill Williams and Steve Riley.



Walter W. Cutts



Services for Walter W. Cutts will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Billie Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Keewanee Cemetery.

Mr. Cutts, 86, of Toomsuba, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Memphis Light-Gas and Water. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines serving in WWII.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Annie M. Cutts of Meridian; children, George W. Cutts and his wife, Pat, of South Carolina, Walter Ray Cutts of Meridian, Kathryn Staff of Toomsuba; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Grace, Margaret McColgin, Janie Jones; brother, William R. Cutts; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Houch.

Visitation will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
