Betty Ruth Irby Moore
Services for Betty Ruth Irby Moore will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Riley officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Moore, 90, of Meridian, died Friday, May 11, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Clarke County on Nov. 13, 1916, to the late Major Terrell Irby and Eva McRae Irby. She graduated from Quitman High School and earned degrees at Jones County Junior College, Mississippi State College for Women, Southwestern Baptist Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Seminary.
She was a homemaker and also taught high school home economics and nursery school. She married the Rev. James Kelva Moore and they were married for more than 63 years. She shared in his ministry in churches and at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. They lived in Newton after his retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Newton and Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Jane Moore of Salisbury, N.C. and Rose Mary Moore Farmer and her husband, Mike, of Austin, Texas; a son, James Walter Moore and his wife, Nevalyn, of Campbellsville, Ky.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a brother, Aubrey Irby of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Raymond Irby, Theron Irby, Leland Irby and Jackie Irby.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Drive, Suite H, Jackson, MS 39216 or Grace Baptist Fellowship Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 3848, Meridian, MS 39303.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Walton Otis Warren

Services for Walton Otis Warren will be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Leary and Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Warren, 91, of Meridian, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at his residence. Known and loved as “Manpaw,” Mr. Warren retired after more than 40 years with Southern Railroad. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, M.L. “Sonny” Warren and Scott Warren and his wife, Ann, all of Meridian; four sisters, Juanita Goodbread of Tampa, Fla., Sue Leary of Virginia, Omera Dodson of West Point, Jean Clark Morton of Hueytown, Ala.; five grandchildren, Chelle Felan and her husband, Eric, Jeremy Warren and his wife, Kristi, Misti Williams and her husband, Jay, Jessica Warren and Peter Warren; and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Warren; two brothers, L.C. Warren and Jamie Warren; and two sisters, Pearl Lane and Nannie Beall.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Warren, Peter Warren, Charles James, Eric James, Jay Williams and Chase Quimby. Honorary pallbearer will be Elmon Moore.
Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
James Edward McGee
NEWTON — Services for James Edward McGee will be held today at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery.
Mr. McGee, 69, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Sara McGee of Hickory; step-sons, Paul Smith and his wife, Tara, of Enterprise and David Smith of Hickory; step-daughters, Paula McGee of Hickory, Sandra Everett and her husband, Billy Joe, of Hickory, Charlotte Hagan and her husband, Roger, of DeKalb, an uncle, John Lovett of Purvis; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Everett, Roger Hagan, Bryan Everett, Glenn Shaffer, Raymond Buckley, and Billy Marshal Buckley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Smith and Tim Hagan.

Services for Adam Ryan Knight will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Knight, 21, of the Center Hill Community, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Riley Hospital. He loved life and had many friends and his dog, Rascal.
Survivors include his mother, Katrina Kay Knight Graham of Centerhill; his father, John Graham and his wife, Melanie, of Centerhill; his biological father, David Thompson; a brother, Tony Graham of Centerhill; a sister, Cyndle Graham of Centerhill; grandparents, Travis and Patricia Knight of Centerhill, Shirlene Graham of Meridian and Joyce Thompson of Meridian; uncles, Travis Knight and his wife, Dena, Shaun Knight, Thomas Graham and his wife, Kathy, Charles Graham, James Thompson and his wife, Denise; and aunts, Belinda Spence and Karen Knight.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Earl Graham and Wayne Thompson; and aunt, Krista Knight.
Pallbearers will be Brad Luse, Chris Fortenberry, Chris Thomas, Steven Thomas, Chet Griffin and Chase Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Haskins and Austin Posey.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for John L. Savell will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services with the Revs. Arzel Hyce and James White officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Savell, 77, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, in his home.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Shirley Stovall; sisters, Kate Williamson, Ann Rutland and Bell Adams and a brother, Elton Savell; several step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Warrene Linton Rasberry
Services for Warrene Linton Rasberry will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Jones and Joe Joiner officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Rasberry, 91, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. She enjoyed piecing quilts and quilting. She was a member of the ladies quilting group at Hebron Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Tommie Dickens and her husband, Dickie, of Brandon; sons, Robert L. Rasberry and his wife, Dorothy, Jerry L. Rasberry and his wife, Sue, and David W. Rasberry and his wife, Patricia, all of Meridian; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Paul Linton and his wife, Barbara, of Ackerman; a sister, Grace Linton Ashmore of Sumrall and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason L. Rasberry; a sister and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hebron Baptist Church Elevator Fund.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Hattie Mae Pullin will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Pullin, 90, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, in her home.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Everett Dorman in 1943 and Willie D. Pullin in 1966.

Walk, of Meridian; step-daughters, Eva Young of Connecticut, Daisy Hubbard and her husband, Bill, of Cleveland, Ohio and Louise Neely of Los Angeles; a step-son, Billy Easley; sisters, Catherine McQuarters and her husband, Israel, and Pinkey Ridgeway, all of Meridian; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rujay Easley.

Memorial services for Edgar E. “Sarge’ Salvo Sr. were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Bill Yount and Billy Floyd officiating.
Mr. Salvo, 86, of Carthage, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, Hospice in His Hands. Mr. Salvo retired as a sergeant-first-class from the United States Army. He also served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include two sons, Edgar E. Salvo Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Herford, N.C., and Kevin Salvo and his wife, Doris, of Deshler, Neb.; two daughters, Wilda M. Grummert of Dewitt, Neb., and Doreen Daniels and her husband, Jerry, of Bailey; five step-children, Sandra Nix of Milledgeville, Ga., Sharon Grebel and her husband, Roger, of Ashville, N.C., Andrew J. Yon and his wife, Katie, and David Yon and his wife, Rita, all of Sumter, S.C., and Lynn Yon; a sister, Louise Jernigan of Columbia, Ala.; two brothers, Alden V. Salvo Jr. of Johns Island, S.C., and Wesley K. Salvo of Reeseville, Wisc.; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida D. Salvo. His second wife, Iris M. Salvo, died Monday, May 14, 2007.

Mr. Taylor, 83, of Stonewall, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Lakeside Living Center. He was a member of Stonewall Methodist Church.
