In a bold move to take their Honda business to a new level, Rick Justice Chrysler-Jeep-Honda recently announced that it had sold its Chrysler-Jeep franchise to Johnson Dodge Kia. The announcement comes after several months of negotiation and is one that Rick Justice, the company’s owner and president, says is a great strategic move for the dealership.

“First of all, in a town this size it only makes sense for Chrysler and Dodge to be one dealership. After careful consideration it became evident that the best thing for our business was for us to devote the bulk of our time and resources to the Honda franchise,” Justice said.

According to Justice, business levels within the Honda franchise have reached an all time high and inventory requirements are outgrowing physical size of the dealership. The selling of the Chrysler-Jeep franchise will free up some badly needed space on their South Frontage Road lot.

In addition to growing sales volume, another factor dictating the need for additional space is the introduction of new Honda product lines and the redesign of others. The new Ridgeland continues to grow in popularity and the redesigned CRV, Pilot, Accord, Civic, sporty S2000 and Element are catching the public’s eye. All of these mean that the dealership needs to expand its inventory.

“For the past two years we have been the only dealer in Mississippi to receive the Honda President’s Award, which is given for excellence in both sales and service. We must make some changes if we are going to continue to enjoy this level of success,” Justice said.

In addition to giving more attention to Honda, the dealership also plans to concentrate on its pre-owned vehicles, offering a large inventory and expanded services.
