Lovell Clark



Services for Lovell Clark will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Daleville Cemetery.

Mr. Clark, 56, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, in his home.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Billy Cumberland will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Allen Herrington and Ray Luke officiating. Burial will be in Coye Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Neshoba County with Masonic Rites.

Mr. Cumberland, 64, of Preston, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, in his home.



Patricia Sessions Ross Ritter



UNION — Services for Patricia Ritter will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel Chapel with Rev. Barry Corbett officiating. Burial will in the Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Ritter, 64,of Pelahatchie, formerly of Union, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Ritter; foster Children, Brooks and Brian Shoemaker; three sisters; a brother and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Ross and her parents.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Wilma Dallas James

UNION — Services for Wilma Dallas James will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Finch officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. James, 97, of Union, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Magnolia Regional in Union. She was a long time resident of Union and a devout member of First Baptist Church.

After high school, she graduated from Moeller Beauty College in Memphis, Tenn. and she taught for two years at the Moeller Beauty College in New York, N.Y. During World War II, she worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington,D.C. After returning home to Union, she operated her own beauty shop for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring, mother and aunt.

Survivors include her nieces, Cheryl Prewitt and her husband, John, of Canton and Libby Dallas Lynch and her husband, Bill, of Chicago and a nephew, James Foster and his wife, Barbara, of Norcross, Ga.; eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover L. James; a sister, Verna Mae Dallas Foster and a brother, Will Dallas.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Union.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Services for Gregory E. “Greg” Brown will be held Saturday at noon at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Bailey with the Rev. Ray Baylor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Shucktown. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown, 41, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Bailey, died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his mother and an uncle.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.



Carolyn J. Johnson



Services for Carolyn J. Johnson will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cynthia Cross officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery. Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, 53, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, in her home.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
