It didn’t take long for Enterprise (0-1) to add its own points with an 86-yard kickoff return by Dion Johnson. Before the half Johnson also ran the ball in from 11 yards out to give Enterprise a 12-7 lead at the half.
Newton County opened the third quarter with a 1-yard run by Floyd Graves and PAT by Scoggins to take a 14-12 lead.
In the fourth, the Cougars once again found themselves in the end zone with a 70-yard pass from senior quarterback Patrick Ezell to Michael Granger. Enterprise answered back with a 50-yard run by Johnson. Kevin Lewis added the PAT to bring the score to 21-19.
