Governor Haley Barbour announced at a news conference this morning that Handy Hardware Wholesale Inc. will locate a distribution center in Lauderdale County’s I20/59 Industrial Park. The distribution center will create 150 jobs and will be the first business to locate in the industrial park. Barbour and others present said they believe the new distribution center will encourage other businesses to locate in the industrial park. Handy Hardware is a member-owned wholesale hardware distribution company based in Houston, Texas. This will be their first distribution center outside of Houston.
