Stan’s Classic No-Tap set for Sunday

Stan’s Classic Color Pin No-Tap Tournament is set for Sunday at Dixie Bowl Lanes. Check-in starts at 5 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 6 p.m.
Stan’s Classic estimates more than $200 in strike jackpot money before ticket sales. A sign-up sheet is available at the front counter. Stan’s Classic Handicap Doubles checks are in the mail and headed for those who placed in the money. A small glitch has now been ironed out and a new prize fund has been posted. Tournament director Stan Bottorff mailed out to all bowlers who placed over the weekend.
Dixie Bowl Lanes will be hosting its annual Halloween Party. The Halloween party will be held from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The cost is $10 per person for the three hours of bowing. Dixie Bowl Lanes will also hold the annual Halloween Moonlight bowl for those who want to stay up late and party. Moonlight bowl is from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. with a cost of $11 per person, and we do require four people per lane. Halloween parties will have orange pins, costume contest, light, music and much more. Reservations are accepted for both parties by calling any of the staff members of Dixie Bowl Lanes at 601-483-2283.
Youth bowler Gabriel Spells takes high game again this week. Spells came out strong rolling a remarkable 231 game and Trever Winstead held the line for high series with a whopping 559. Kayla Evans rolled out a 104 and 256 for high game and series for the youth girls.
Youth coaching, led by Bronze level Coach Ronnie Thomas, veteran bowlers Tyrone McAlpine and Alan Topcik, will be held Saturday mornings at 9:45a.m. for youth bowlers who would like additional training.
Debbie Jones takes high game and series of the week for the senior ladies. On Monday afternoon, Jones rolled out a massive 243, 171, and 179 for an enormous 593 series. John Parker rolled out a huge 269, 233 and 204 and an exciting 706 series to claim high game and series for the senior men.

Wednesday night mixed bowler Jackie Gould took high game and series for ladies. Gould was on fire with a 242 game and smoking 616 series. David Daw rolled high game for the men, Thursday night Queen City league, with an impressive 262 game. The prodigal son has returned and takes high series for the week. Robby Relinski rolled out 250 and 241 games for an awesome 697 series.
