The Meridian High School boys basketball team will be honored with a parade next Thursday, the Meridian Public School District announced.

The Wildcats finished the season with a 30-2 record en route to capturing the MHSAA Class 6A state championship with a 68-59 win against Murrah High School March 11. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the school district’s office at 1019 25th Ave., and it will end on the front lawn of Meridian City Hall.

Fans are invited to come watch the parade and celebrate the Wildcats’ achievements this season.
