MCC to conduct mock disaster drill

Meridian Community College Campus Police will conduct an on-campus mock disaster drill beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 in conjunction with local emergency agencies.
The drill serves as an exercise in simulated circumstances so participants get the chance to practice their responses, according to a college news release. The drill helps to identify weak points in a disaster response plan and to get people familiar with the steps they need to take in the event of a true disaster.
Campus Police Chief Shane Williams is coordinating the event.
