NAS Meridian Training Squadron 9 changes command

During the ceremony, Cmdr. Brian Baumgaertner relieved Eveges as commanding officer of VT-9. 

Cmdr. John Eveges was relieved by Cmdr. Brian Baumgaertner as the commanding officer of Training Squadron 9 during a ceremony Friday at Naval Air Station Meridian. Eveges served as the squadron CO since August 2017. He will retire after 20 years of service. Cmdr. Baumgaertner was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in April 2002 at NAS Pensacola, Florida. Baumgaertner previously served as the deputy division chief for the U.S. Cyber Command J7 (Simulation & Exercises) at Ft. Meade, Maryland.
