If you’re looking for unique holiday gifts, you’ll want to attend the Milltown Market Holiday Shopping in Stonewall from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

There will be crafts, antiques and collectables on sale as well as food, drinks and sweets. Milltown Market is located at 400 Erwin Road, Stonewall.

In Meridian, The Mississippi Arts + Performing Experience will present “Walter Anderson, Realizations of an Artist,” from 7 – 8:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday Nov. 8) as part of the fall film series. The one-hour biography will trace the extraordinary life of the fiercely independent Mississippi artist Walter Inglis Anderson. There is a $5 suggested donation and the event is free to members.

The Temple Theatre will host the movie, “Stand By Your Man,” Friday at 7:30 p.m. to raise funds for the preservation of the historic facility. The film depicts the life story of country music legend Tammy Wynette, her career and tumultuous marriage to country music legend George Jones. Tickets are $30 and $25 and may be purchased at the ticket box office or by calling 601-693-5353. The theatre is located at 2320 8th Street, Meridian.

Run for Hope will be held Saturday at Bonita Lakes to raise funds for Meridian’s Hope Village for Children. The run is the Run for Hope Guild’s only major fundraiser to help provide extras for the facility’s children. The run will feature four events: A 10K trail run, a 5K road race, a two-mile walk and a one-mile fun run. Races start at 8 a.m. with registration ending at 7:45 a.m.

Groups with a minimum of 15 runners are encouraged to participate to enter the Run for Hope Group Challenge. Groups will receive a discount on their registration fee, as well as the opportunity to win if they have the most participants.
