Man arrested in Newton clinic shooting

Approximately 24 hours after a Wednesday night shooting broke a window at a nearby Rush Clinic the Newton Police Department said it had arrested a suspect.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man Thursday evening and found crack cocaine, marijuana and $1,600 in cash during the arrest, according to Newton Police Chief Harvey Curry.
Curry didn’t have the full name of the man when called on Friday.
Curry said police planned to charge the man with possession but the investigation into the Wednesday night shooting in ongoing.
Bond for the man hasn’t yet been set, Curry said.
