Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday:

• Shoplifting – Betty Faye Clayton, born in 1958, 1259 Deeb St., Pearl.

• False pretense – Lakita Jefferson, born in 1986, 2207 44th Ave., Meridian. Jefferson is also charged with petit larceny.

• Simple assault/threat – Derrell D. Cox, born in 1989, 3839 42nd St., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Kourtney Johnson, born in 1993, 11984 Hwy. 492, W. Union.

• Shoplifting – Jonathan Smith, born in 1976, 5080 Alamucha Whynot Road, Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Shirley D. Smith, born in 1978, 5080 Alamucha Whynot Road, Meridian.

• Public drunk – Tevin Cole, born in 1992, 3780 Rufus Martin Road, Lauderdale. Cole is also charged with giving false information.

• Resisting arrest – Quinndel Griffin, born in 1989, 208 Long Blvd., Quitman.

• Shoplifting – Deshun Grace, born in 1981, 4247 36th Place, Meridian.

• Stalking – Keria L. Gowdy, born in 1994, 1924 34th Ave. Apt. E, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Kenneth Thomas, born in 1995, 2447 4th Ave., Meridian. Thomas is also charged with malicious mischief.

• Simple assault/threat – Kearra L. Oliver, born in 1996, 3804 14th St., Meridian.

• Public drunk – Emil Castignanie, born in 1989, 1110 Terry Lane, Meridian.

• Domestic violence – Torrez Q. Hill, born in 1999, 2814 19th St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Freddie Parker, born in 1971, 4861 Valley Road #26, Meridian.

• Trespassing – Chad Skinner, born in 1971, 131 Wickware Road, Newton. Skinner is also charged with disturbance of a business.

• Domestic violence/two counts – Sherron D. Hill, born in 1991, 81 Pelican Drive, Yantley, Ala.

• Shoplifting – Michael G. Payne, born in 1975, 1517 45th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault/threat – Bradford Caldwell, born in 1990, homeless. Caldwell is also charged with trespassing.

• Driving under the influence – Tommy Dean, born in 1956, 6203 Spruce St., Meridian.

• Domestic violence – Tommy Hart, born in 1990, 1220 48th Ave., Meridian.

• Contempt/child support – Micheal James Brown Sr., 46, 4320 36th Ave. D-10, Meridian.

• Contempt of court – Tonya Erwin, 35, 618 Azalea Drive, Meridian.

• Contempt/child support – Darrilyn Dennis Owens, 52, 606 30th Ave., Meridian.

• Aggravated assault w/weapon or other means to produce death, 15, Johtavis A. Tell, 107 71st., Meridian.

Stolen vehicles

• 2400 block of Hwy. 19 N. at 11 p.m.

Auto burglary

• 2900 block of 23rd St. at 10:19 p.m.

Shootings

• 100 block of 71st. Place at 11:44 a.m.

Meridian Police responded to 13 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

• Driving under the influence of other substance – Deondra Dequale Brandon, 27, 10415 Rabbit Rd., Meridian. Brandon is also charged with speeding.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday.

• Suspended driver’s license – Jeanette Bass, 51, 3357 Northshore Drive, Toomsuba.

• Suspended driver’s license – Gabriel Latrell Bell Jr., 24, 1698 C Willow Lake Road, Toomsuba.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Camryn Brewer, 17, 12643 Hwy. 494, Northport, Ala.

• DUI/first offense – Edward Brown, 48, 6505 Stennis Rd., Meridian. Brown is also charged with domestic violence.

• DUI/first offense – James Maurice Clemons, 42, 211 Bolden St., Union.

• Child support/failure to pay – Tommie Ike Gordon Dean, 62, 6203 Spruce St., Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Michelle Renae Hinson, 48, 1070 Boyette Road, Meridian. Hinson is also charged with no liability insurance, expired tag.

• Child support/failure to pay – David Lee Johnson, 49, 4309 Newell Road, Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Shetese Dominique Montgomery, 31, 900 North North Frontage Road, Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – Kenneth James Taylor, 47, 66 CR 3131, Rose Hill. Taylor is also charged with careless driving.
