Staff and inmates at East Mississippi Correctional Facility welcomed community leaders Friday as the facility hosted its annual Black History Month Program. The annual event featured a reading of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech, music and a special message from Pastor Aquilla Pack, who challenged listeners to stop doubting themselves and overthinking, take charge of their circumstances and always get back up.
