North Hills closure planned for Sunday morning

Meridian residents traveling along North Hills Street this weekend will want to plan an alternate route as the city of Meridian announces a planned closure of the road beginning Sunday morning.

In a news release, city officials said the section of North Hills from Highway 39 to 10th Avenue will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. while city workers remove a tree in the area.

Those living in Colonial Acres will need to exit south onto Highway 39 while the closure is in effect, and residents in Windover Circle and Sixth Place will need to exit west onto North Hills.

Residents are encouraged to monitor city communication channels for updates.
