DABBS cannabis dispensary cuts ribbon on Meridian location

Meridian officials and business leaders gathered at DABBS cannabis dispensary Thursday to cut the ribbon on the dispensary’s new Meridian location on South Frontage Road.

General Manager Thomas Edel said a lot of work has gone into preparing the dispensary for its customers, and it feels great to celebrate with a ribbon cutting.

“I feel great. It’s been a journey going from where we were to where we are now, but I feel like we’ve got a great team set up. We’ve got plenty of great product for people to select from. We’re very knowledgeable,” he said. “I just feel like this is a great place to start DABBS in Meridian.”

Edel said DABBS currently has around 25 locations throughout Mississippi and prides itself on helping patients both with products and education. For those in Meridian with questions about medical marijuana, he said DABBS is there to help.

“Just give us a call or look us up on the internet and give us an email. We’ll help you out,” he said. “That’s what we’re here for. We’re here for the patients.”

Matt Schanrock with the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation, which organized Thursday’s ribbon cutting, said he’s glad to welcome DABBS to town. The dispensary brings a new business to town, as well as additional customers as the brand has a following in the state.

“We’re just glad to have them here,” he said.
