Thomas to serve on Mississippi Young Bankers Council

Meridian banker Anthony Thomas has been elected to the executive council of the Mississippi Young Bankers, a section of the Mississippi Bankers Association.
Mississippi Young Bankers has been active in providing leadership development activities, supporting financial literacy programs of the MBA and its member banks since 1950, with members involved in administering scholarship programs for high school and college students, supporting the MBA Education Foundation and advocating policy positions important to a strong banking industry.
Thomas serves as senior vice president for Great Southern Bank in Meridian, where he has been for 11 years. Active in the community, Thomas is also a member of the Downtown Optimist Club of Meridian and served as the organization’s president from 2021-2022.
Thomas is engaged to Hayden Burns, and he has two daughters, Sawyer Layne and Raleigh Gray.
Joining Thomas on the council are Matthew Hall of United Mississippi Bank in Natchez, Grant Phillips of Citizens National Bank in DeSoto County, and Will Robbins of Renascent Bank in Madison.
