Spring is right around the corner and The Mississippi Children’s Museum-Meridian is fluttering with excitement for its annual Bunnies and Butterflies event on April 19.
Children and families are invited to celebrate Spring at the museum with live bunnies and fun educational activities as the museum’s outdoor exhibit, My Fantastical Backyard, springs to life.
This event is a good way to welcome the warm, sunny weather of the new season. Guests will enjoy gardening activities, interact with live bunnies, learn about tiny insect friends, create a pair of bunny ears or butterfly wings, and more.
Bunnies and Butterflies will also feature several special guests including:
— The Easter Bunny at 10-11:25 a.m., 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30-3 p.m.
— Brandall Laughlin, author of “Do Butterflies Make Butter?” at 2 p.m.
— The Mississippi Entomological Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
— Reading is Fundamental, a Junior Auxiliary of Meridian project, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
