Meridian residents will need to slow down and keep an eye out for workers as paving operations get underway Monday in several areas of the city.

Areas involved in paving include:

• 34th Street, between 10th Avenue and Poplar Springs Drive.

• Poplar Springs Drive

• 29th Avenue, between 40th Street and North Hills Street

• King Road

• State Boulevard

• 40th Avenue

• College Drive

Drivers are asked to avoid the work areas if at all possible and use caution.

“If you must travel through these areas, drive slowly and yield to construction workers,” Assistant Director for Public Works David VanZandt said.
