Grady is no stranger to MPSD, having worked her whole education career for the district – all at Magnolia Middle School. She began as a substitute teacher after a 24-year insurance career. She has also been a teacher assistant teacher and has served as an assistant principal at Magnolia Middle School since 2021. She was named the district’s teacher of the year in 2019.

The 2025-2026 school year will be Grady’s 20th year in education. She has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Mississippi State University.

As principal, Grady will prioritize academic achievement, school security and building strong connections with families and the community. Her leadership will help equip students for success in college, careers and beyond.

“I want to take this time to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Carter and her administrative staff for providing us with this great opportunity,” said Grady. “Our motto at Magnolia is, ‘We are the best and nothing less because excellence begins with me.’ We will continue striving for that excellence while educating our students to become leaders, and we are thankful for the support of all parents and our community, and we welcome their continued support in the future!”

Grady will begin her new position on July 1.
