Members of the Meridian Museum Art Collective are taking advantage of sunny skies and Spring Break as they work to install a mural along the 26th Avenue underpass.
Commissioned through a joint venture between the City of Meridian and Lauderdale County, the mural will encompass both the south and north sides of the underpass.

Artists worked Tuesday to sketch out the mural design on the underpass wall in preparation for painting. The activity marks a milestone in the project which has been in discussions for several years.
The Meridian Museum Art Collective is responsible for numerous murals throughout the Meridian and Lauderdale County community having previously completed works around Dumont Plaza, Meridian Airport Authority, Coca-Cola, Naval Air Station Meridian and more.
