Meridian’s Rush, two others win DECA entrepreneurship competition

Three business and marketing management technology students from EMCC’s Scooba campus captured first place in the Entrepreneurship-Growing a Business competition during the Collegiate Distributive Education Clubs of America 2025 State Career Development Conference Feb. 20-21 in Biloxi. EMCC’s trio, from left, Evan Jolly of DeKalb, Shacobe Rush of Meridian and Brody Clay of Scooba, presented an expansion business plan to judges for Kemper Farm Supply in Scooba and captured first place while competing against other colleges and universities from across Mississippi. In addition to their award, the students received scholarship funds to attend Collegiate DECA’s international competition in San Francisco in April.
