Meridian Police Department announced the arrests of two suspects Tuesday in a Feb. 2 shooting that left one person with a gunshot wound to the head.

 

Montavion Mangum and Haylin Anderson are charged in connection with the shooting that took place in the 5600 block of Eighth Street Extension.

 

In a news release announcing the arrests, Acting Capt. Dareall Thompson said Mangum faces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy and armed robbery and has a total bond of $1,225,000. Anderson also faces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy and armed robbery with no bond currently set, he said.

 

Thompson said MPD wants to thank the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office and the Choctaw Police Department for their help in Anderson’s arrest.
