SCOOBA — East Mississippi Community College will hold monthly spring stunt clinics over the next three months in advance of the Lions’ cheerleading tryouts for the 2025-26 academic year.

Cheer stunt clinics are set for Feb. 23, March 23 and April 13 on the Scooba campus, and interested tryout participants must attend at least one of the three clinics in order to participate in the school’s upcoming cheerleading tryouts that will take place this spring. Stunt clinics are scheduled from 2-4 p.m. during each of the three dates and will be held at EMCC’s Dottie Smith Family Center for Instrumental Music Education (EMCC Band Hall).

East Mississippi’s cheer stunt clinics are open to male and female high school sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as current college students with eligibility remaining.

Along with a $35 registration fee per individual to be paid in cash or by check made payable to the EMCC Development Foundation, interested EMCC cheer stunt clinic participants must submit a completed registration form, a signed clinic/tryout waiver and a copy of a current physical.
