Hill, Butler named to Great Southern Bank board

Great Southern Bank proudly announces the addition of Leia Agnew Hill and David L. Butler to its Board of Directors.

 

Hill is the vice president for institutional advancement at Meridian Community College, where she also serves as the executive director of the MCC Foundation.  She actively solicits support through the MCC Foundation, for key initiatives like the Tuition Guarantee Program, working to secure donor gifts that directly support the college’s mission.

In addition to her fundraising efforts, she oversees alumni affairs, community relations, and college communications, ensuring effective public engagement and the successful execution of strategic marketing and branding initiatives.

 

Butler is the chief financial officer of Ochsner Rush Health, which is part of the larger Ochsner Clinic Foundation based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ochsner Rush Health operates seven hospitals and over forty medical practices in East Central Mississippi and West Alabama. As CFO, David oversees all financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting.

 

David earned his degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1987. He began his career in the Provider Audit & Reimbursement Department at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi, before joining Crowell, Hart & Company, Ltd. in 1991. In 2001, he joined Horne LLP, and served as a partner with their healthcare practice group for 17 years. He joined Ochsner Rush Health in October 2018.

 

David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and past president of the Mississippi Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association.
