Families and children are invited to The Mississippi Children’s Museum-Meridian on Saturday as the museum celebrates literacy with a storytelling festival.

 

The event, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature a host of activities such as creating a musical instrument, storytelling through puppet making, meeting princesses, special games and more.

 

The festival will also include visits from special guests including Meridian storyteller Terrance Roberts, Sarah Frances Hardy, illustrator of “One Mississippi” and author and cartoonist “Marshall Ramsey.”
