Meridian Police Department announced an arrest Thursday in connection with several 2024 shootings that left one woman dead.

 

Labrian Willis, 20, was arrested and charged for the Feb. 29, 2024 shooting death of 18-year-old La’Treasure Brashay Willis in the 2900 block of 25th Street. He is charged with murder, shooting into a vehicle and aggravated assault, the department said in a news release announcing the arrest.

 

In separate incidents, Labrian Willis is also charged with shooting into a dwelling in connection with an incident in the 2400 block of Old Marion Road on Nov. 12, 2024, and aggravated assault for a different incident in the 3700 block of 44th Avenue which also took place Nov. 12, 2024.

 

Willis is being held without bond.

 

Acting Captain Dareall Thompson said Meridian police were assisted in the arrest by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, U.S. Marshals and MPD gang unit.
