MCC police investigating Tuesday shooting

Meridian Community College Campus Police are investigating after a shooting took place Tuesday morning near the campus’ adult education building.
In a statement Wednesday, the college said the safety of those on campus is priority, and law enforcement are actively working to find those responsible.
“Our officers, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, are working to gather evidence, follow leads and bring the perpetrator to justice,” the college said in its statement. “MCC is committed to the safety and security of everyone on campus, and we will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”
