MPSD students to perform with All-State Honor Choir

Five Meridian Public School District students were chosen to perform with the Mississippi Music Educators Association Elementary 2024-2025 All-State Honor Choir in January 2025 on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.

Fifth-graders, Sedric Walk and Hakeem Adensui, will represent Parkview Elementary School in the All-State Honor Choir. Representing Poplar Springs Elementary School will be fifth-graders Kylar Alford, Miracle Lanier and Braylin McDade.

The five students will join with talented peers from across the state Jan. 23-25 for a series of rehearsals and a final performance as part of the Mississippi American Choral Director’s Association and the Mississippi Music Educators Association Conference on the USM campus in Hattiesburg.
