Meridian and Lauderdale County offices are announcing holiday closures as employees look to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends.

City of Meridian offices will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Waste Pro will run Thursday’s garbage routes on Friday, and Friday routes will be collected Saturday.

Lauderdale County offices will also be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday, and the regularly scheduled work session for the Board of Supervisors, set for 9 a.m. Thursday, has been canceled.

Roll off dumpster sites at county satellite locations will also be closed and will reopen with regular hours on Saturday.

Marion’s town hall and water department offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving as well.
