LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville sophomore cornerback Tayon Holloway has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest on domestic violence charges after police said he punched his girlfriend and pressed a pillow against her face. The school said in a statement announcing the suspension that it was gathering more information about the arrest, which occurred Sunday night. Holloway has pleaded not guilty. He was arrested a day after he committed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty late in Louisville’s loss to Stanford. Holloway was charged with one felony count of first-degree strangulation and one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — No. 17 Clemson and No. 19 South Carolina will have to wait an extra week before a final chance to impress College Football Playoff selectors about a long-shot berth in the 12-team field. The Tigers and Gamecocks finish the regular-season at Clemson on Nov. 30 with plenty of positives along with regrets about their chances going forward. Clemson finished 7-1 in the ACC, but needs help from No. 11 Miami and No. 13 SMU for a spot in the league title game. Three-loss South Carolina is the hottest team in the SEC, having beaten three straight ranked league opponents.

UNDATED (AP) — Kansas strengthened its grip on No. 1 in the AP Top 25. The rest of the top 10 turned into a jumble of teams swapping places. The Jayhawks picked up five first-place votes in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll, receiving 49 from a 61-person media panel. No. 2 UConn, No. 3 Gonzaga and No. 4 Auburn all received votes. The shuffling started with No. 8 Alabama’s loss to No. 6 Purdue, a game that dropped the Crimson Tide six spots and bumped the Boilermakers up seven. Losses by Duke and Arizona shook up the top 10.

UNDATED (AP) — TCU has entered The Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll at No. 19, the school’s best ranking in 16 years. The first 12 teams in the Top 25 remained unchanged with South Carolina once again a unanimous choice at No. 1. The Gamecocks were followed by UConn, USC, Texas and UCLA. The Gamecocks and Bruins will play on Sunday a day after No. 6 Notre Dame visits the Trojans. LSU, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Kansas State round out the top 10.

UNDATED (AP) — Colorado moved up to No. 16 in The Associated Press college football poll for its highest ranking in eight years. The Buffaloes also have the inside track to a spot in the Big 12 championship game and at 8-2 they’ve doubled last year’s victory total. Coach Deion Sanders put the kibosh on the notion his players or staff would take time to reflect on what they’ve accomplished so far. He says the Buffs expected to be where they are and there is much left to accomplish
