Action by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force to serve a warrant Friday ended with two people behind bars, according to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.

In a news release, the department said task force agents intended to serve a warrant for Charlene Evans in the 500 block of 56th Avenue shortly before noon. The agents found probable cause for a search warrant for the residence and got that as well.

Inside, the task force found a juvenile who was the subject of a missing person report as well as LaShawn Boyd, who had four outstanding warrants from Meridian Police Department, LCSD said. Both Boyd and the juvenile were turned over to MPD.
