Members of the Northwest Middle School Student Council were recognized by the Meridian City Council on Tuesday as they attended the City Council meeting. Councilman Joe Norwood Jr., whose district includes Northwest, said the students are working on a project to learn more about how city government functions. Tuesday’s visit was a part of that initiative.
