A funeral service for George R. Williams will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Briden officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. George R. Williams, age 59, of Meridian passed away at his home.
George graduated from Meridian High School in 1983. He worked at Peavey Electronics for over 23 years and was employed at Sam’s Club for the past 10 years. George gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at State Boulevard Baptist Church. For many years he has been a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Independent Methodist Church. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Ann Williams Goforth; brother, Boyd Ray Williams (Angelia); nieces, Miranda and Hannah Williams; uncle, Bobby Williams; aunt, Betty Ivy (Mike); extended family, Marce Goforth (Lisa), Kevin Goforth (Angie), Daniel Goforth (Kristin), Tristan Goforth; several cousins and friends.
He was proceeded in death by father, Charles Ray Williams; grandparents, George Eric and Mary Alice Williams, Robert Ernest and Julia Frances Johnson; and stepfather, Jerry Goforth.
