“We are thrilled to welcome Anna back to East Central in this important role,” said James Miller, ECCC’s vice president for student service and enrollment management. “Her recruiting expertise, along with her understanding of the needs of both traditional and nontraditional students, will make her an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and serve our district and beyond.”

Clay graduated from East Central in 2019 with an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a concentration in business administration before earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Mississippi State University, where she graduated cum laude in 2021. Her strong academic background and leadership roles, including serving as vice president of the Student Body Association and vice president of fellowship for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, have set her up for success in her new position at ECCC.

Prior to joining ECCC, Clay served as the recruiting coordinator at Meridian Community College, where she coordinated over 340 recruiting events in one academic year and managed a team of 32 student recruiters.

In her new role as student recruiter/enrollment specialist at ECCC, Clay will be responsible for recruiting traditional and nontraditional students, conducting high school visits, assisting prospective students with enrollment and promoting the college’s wide range of programs. Additionally, she will collaborate closely with high school administrators and counselors, while working closely with the ECCC Office of External Relations to create effective marketing plans and materials aimed at increasing student enrollment.

“I’m honored to return to my alma mater in this role,” said Clay. “ECCC has always felt like home to me, and I’m excited to help future students discover all that this college has to offer.”
