Peggy L. Sullivan A memorial service for Mrs. Peggy Sullivan will be held Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Earley officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Peggy Sullivan, age 75 of Meridian, passed away on October 27, 2024, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born in Meridian, MS and graduated from Meridian High School in 1966. She was introduced to her husband, Bat, while walking to work and was immediately struck by his kind eyes. They settled in the Tuxedo community and raised five daughters just one block from Eighth Avenue Baptist Church, where she taught countless more children for more than forty years.
She loved all people with a Christ-like spirit and touched the lives of the entire community through her role as customer service manager at the local Walmart for more than 20 years. It’s been said her understanding smile would change the course of one’s day. Her precious soul was patient, wise, and selfless. She took great joy in sharing her faith in her Heavenly Father through her walk in life.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Henry Sullivan; daughters, Jeri Akridge (Brian), Jena Sullivan (Lonny), Stacy Palmer (Hap), Cindy Smith (Jon Henry), and Cathy Keller (Patrick); siblings, Jan Pruitt and Pat Tidmore. She was an adoring “Mamaw” to fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Geneva Tidmore; brother, Jimmy Tidmore; daughter, Dayna; and grandson, Jacob Cooper.
