- Chapel Hart, a family trio who rose to fame two years ago on “America’s Got Talent,” will bring their special holiday show, “Hartfelt Family Christmas Tour,” to The Temple Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 12, as a presentation of the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation.
Country music sensation Chapel Hart, who rose to fame two years ago on “America’s Got Talent,” will bring their special Christmas show to the stage of The Temple Theatre in downtown Meridian on Thursday, Dec. 12. Tickets are on sale now.
The performance, set for 7 p.m., is part of a tour to promote the Mississippi singing group’s new holiday album, “Hartfelt Family Christmas,” scheduled to be released officially this Friday. The show is being presented by the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation.
Chapel Hart is a family trio made up of sisters Danica Hart, Devynn Hart and their cousin Trea Swindle, all from Poplarville.
In 2022, the three women appeared on Season 17 of the popular singing competition show, “America’s Got Talent,” instantly becoming a fan favorite with their original song, “You Can Have Him, Jolene,” a modern take on Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit. They went on to win a Group Golden Buzzer, only the second one to be given on the show at the time, which led to a spot in the season finale. The trio would go on to make their debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage later that year.
“Christmas time is so special to the three of us. We hope that you get a little glimpse of our love for Christ, family and the holiday season from this album,” the trio wrote in an Oct. 3 Facebook post.
Chapel Hart’s performance at the Temple Theatre is one of nearly 20 planned for their Hartfelt Family Christmas Tour, which will include stops in New York City; Minneapolis; Indianapolis; Nashville, Tennessee; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Durham, North Carolina, among other cities. In addition, they will head to Asia in November for five dates in Japan, where they are scheduled to perform for U.S. military troops.
Jimmie Rodgers Foundation Executive Director Leslie Lee said the concert came about because the foundation wanted to support Chapel Hart and their new album while also sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the organization and the annual Jimmie Rodgers Festival.
“Chapel Hart is special to us because they have played the festival in the past. Two years ago, we had them here for an intimate evening at The MAX, and they have twice played at the Jimmie Rodgers Festival,” she said. “They are just a great feel good band. They will give you a show that will get you on your feet.”
All seating is reserved for the show. VIP tickets are $50, and regular admission is $35.
Lee said a limited number of VIP tickets are still available, which will include a meet-and-greet with the band before the show, but regular tickets are selling fast.
“It’s going to be a sold-out show, so get your tickets now,” she said.
