Residents and visitors were treated to a two-man blues concert Thursday as Starkville duo Shank and Maim performed at the Brown Bag lunch at The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience.

The band, which describes its style as an “eclectic grunge blues” featured foot instruments, harmonica, guitar, vocals and more as the two musicians worked to recreate the sounds of suite of instruments.

The MAX hosts monthly Brown Bag lunches in its courtyard during the warmer months for those living, working and visiting in downtown Meridian. The events are free and open to all as passersby are encouraged to grab lunch at a local restaurant or eatery and enjoy it while listening to the concert.
