Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Sept 23
- Possession of a controlled substance, willful trespassing, disturbance of a business, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest — 2305 D St., Apt C4, Meridian
Sept 24
- Shoplifting, willful trespassing and disturbance of a business — homeless
- Possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia — 4201 37th St., Meridian

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Sept 23
- Failure to pay
- Contempt of court for failure to pay fine
- Manufacture, owning/controlling distillery
- Felon in possession of firearm
- Aggravated assault, shoot into dwelling x2, shooting into vehicle and possession of stolen firearm
- Possession of methamphetamine and fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle
- Taking away of a motor vehicle and felony fleeing pursuit
- Murder
- Counterfeit instrument: forgery/uttering and selling property previously sold or encumbered
Sept 24
- DUI first offense, lighting equipment requirements, no/expired driver’s license and failure to maintain liability insurance.
- No/expired driver’s license, failure to maintain liability insurance and expired tag
- Controlled substance violations x2 and failure to pay
- Manufacture, possession or use of machine gun conversion device
