The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Aug 12

  • Trespassing — homeless
  • Shoplifting — 334 A Harper Rd., Meridian
  • Disorderly conduct and indecent exposure — 5125 North View Dr., Meridian
  • Simple assault threat x3, stalking and telephone harassment — 909 21st St., Meridian

Aug 13

  • Willful trespassing — 6213 Oakland Park St., Meridian
  • Simple assault and simple assault threat — 6213 Oakland Park St., Meridian
  • Shoplifting x7 and willful trespassing x2 — homeless
  • Public drunk, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest – 2305 D St. Apt. J7, Meridian
  • Disorderly conduct and resisting arrest — homeless

  • Shooting — 3900 block of Davis Street at 9:08 a.m.

  • Shooting — 2000 block of Mosby Road at 4:23 a.m.
  • Residential burglary — 3600 block of North Hills Street at 9:40 a.m.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Aug 12

  • Foreign warrant; fugitive; holding
  • Failure to pay
  • Simple assault
  • Contempt of court for failure to pay fine
  • Stalking

Aug 13

  • Possession of marijuana in vehicle, DUI other substance first offense, lighting equipment requirements, violation of seat belt law and failure to maintain liability insurance
  • Violation of seat belt law and failure to pay
  • No/expired driver’s license, vehicle liability insurance failure second offense, violation of seat belt law x2 and no child restraint x3
  • Simple assault and telephone harassment
  • Burglary; all but dwelling
  • Aggravated assault and murder
  • Failure to pay
