Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday.
July 24
- Contributing to the delinquency of a child — 4524 Highway 39 N. Apt. C13, Meridian
- Simple assault — 8148 Highway 493, Meridian
- Domestic violence — 803 29th St. Apt. 1213, Meridian
July 25
- Willful trespassing — 5118 Manning St., Meridian
- Willful trespassing and simple assault threat — 1318 19th St. Apt. 18, Meridian
- Disturbance of a business and trespassing — 609 39th Ave., Meridian
- Giving false information — 2111 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Chunky
- Disorderly conduct — 2711 45th St., Meridian
- Shoplifting and trespassing — 6566 Windsor Rd., Meridian

- Shooting — 2000 block of 24th Street at 8:22 p.m.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday.
July 24
- No/expired driver’s license, failure to maintain liability insurance and expired tag
- Probation violation
- Dazzling taillight, no/expired driver’s license and failure to maintain liability insurance
- Contempt of court for failure to pay fine and hold for investigation
- DUI refusal to submit to test, no/expired driver’s license and disobedience of traffic control devices
- Possession of marijuana in vehicle, DUI other substance first offense, driving without headlights and failure to maintain liability insurance
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents from Thursday through Friday.
July 24
- Enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes — 22nd Ave. S.
- DUI refusal to submit to test — 8th St.
- Possession of marijuana in vehicle — 22nd Ave. and Front St.
- Profanity/drunkenness in public — 22nd Ave. S.
