Two arrested in gas station burglary

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of two suspects Tuesday in connection with a weekend burglary of a local gas station.
According to a news release posted to social media, deputies responded to an alarm activation at the Shell station in the 2400 block of Highway 19 South at 4:46 a.m. Sunday, July 14, where they discovered the door had been broken open. Surveillance footage showed three suspects involved in the burglary, and some tobacco products were stolen.
Based on the investigation, deputies arrested Tycession Scott and Kayla Pearson in connection with the burglary. Scott is charged with burglary; all but dwelling, probation violation and has an outstanding warrant. Pearson is charged with burglary; all but dwelling.
LCSO said in a news release announcing the arrests the investigation is continuing and law enforcement is continuing to search for the third suspect.
