The Choctaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America is inviting children from the East Mississippi and west Alabama area to come celebrate the end of summer Saturday at its Cub Scouts Back To School Summer Blast.

The free event, which is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Camp Binachi, will feature a waterslide, a BB gun range, hotdogs, popcorn and more. Families are invited to bring their chairs and enjoy the day of fun before school starts back up next month.

The celebration is open to all children kindergarten through fifth grade. No scouting experience is needed, and visitors are welcome to come and go throughout the event.
