The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

March 25

  • Simple assault — 2205 34th Ave., Meridian

March 26

  • Giving false information — 4811 30th St., Meridian
  • Possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and trespassing — 901 38th Ave., Meridian
  • Shoplifting and trespassing — homeless

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday through Wednesday.

March 25

  • Robbery — 1200 block of 17th Ave. at 8:34 p.m.
  • Stolen vehicle — 1400 block of Roebuck Dr. at 9:23 p.m.
  • Residential burglary — 1700 block of 24th Ave. at 9:11 a.m.
  • Shooting — 1300 block of 19th St. at 9:07 p.m.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

March 25

  • Failure to pay
  • Grand larceny; property of a church, synagogue, temple or other
  • Foreign warrant; fugitive; holding
  • Disorderly conduct: interfering with lawful order and resisting/obstructing arrest
  • Shoplifting first offense

March 26

  • Controlled substance: illegal possession and possession of controlled substance
  • Disorderly conduct/breach of peace, resisting/obstructing arrest, violation of seat belt law, failure to maintain liability insurance and expired tag
  • Contempt of court for failure to pay fine x2
  • Contempt of court for failure to pay fine
  • Contempt of court for failure to pay fine x2, driving with suspended/revoked driver’s license and failure to maintain liability insurance
