The United States of America is rapidly approaching its 250th birthday, and Keep Meridian Lauderdale County Beautiful is asking the community to join a nationwide effort to get the country looking clean ahead of the important milestone.

July 4, 2026, will mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and just like the founding fathers signed it, community members, business leaders, clubs and organizations are asked to put their pens to paper and sign a pledge to help with the beautification effort.
